Course Description:
This course introduces the basic elements of the Spanish language within a cultural context. Emphasis is on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
There are two main objectives to the course. The first is to give the students the ability to carry on a simple conversation. The second is to provide students with instruction that teaches a basic understanding of Spanish culture, vocabulary and grammatical concepts.
Week 1– The Alphabet.

Week 2-Ask about nationalities.

Week 3– Numbers 0-10.

COURSE TITLE: Spanish for Beginners 2
Course Description:This course is a continuation of the Spanish Beginners 1 course. Emphasis is on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Pronunciation, comprehension, and writing are emphasized. The course will enable the students to speak and write simple Spanish in a range of everyday situations. This course also introduces students to a rich cultural context.
